It’s hard work to grow a business, let alone growing it on platforms you don’t own and have no control over. Facebook, Instagram, and Google are fickle. One day you’ve got the sun on your face and the wind at your back, and the next you find yourself stranded and alone wondering where you went wrong.

I hate to break it to you, but when you rely on platforms like these—and their traffic— it’s their algorithm in the driver’s seat, NOT you.

For years I’ve met with entrepreneurs and business owners who are frustrated with the rising cost and lackluster performance of their ads. I’ll tell you the same thing I tell my clients: just because someone doesn’t buy immediately doesn’t mean they won’t buy. It usually means they just needed a little more time to get to know, like, and trust you!

  • Maybe they were interested, but your ad didn’t quite touch on what they needed to hear in order to move forward

  • Maybe they added to cart but decided to check your socials and reviews before going through with their purchase

  • Maybe they were about to check out but were interrupted, clicked their phone off, and moved on to something else​

  • Maybe they were a resounding yes, but told themselves they’d come back to it later because they couldn’t be bothered to get up and find their credit card

So many things can stall an immediate purchase, but there is NOTHING stopping you from sending each and every one of those prospects an email reminding them about you, your service, and your products!
